Morrisville women fall behind early, unable to recover as Geneseo collects win

Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. – Visiting SUNY Morrisville women's basketball fell behind early on and struggled to recover as host Geneseo collected a 78-59 win over the Mustangs Tuesday night in Geneseo in non-league action.

Host #22 Geneseo rattled off 21 first quarter points while holding visiting Morrisville women's basketball to just nine, and didn't look back as they collected the 78-59 non-league win over the Mustangs to remain undefeated.
Geneseo shot a stellar 54.2% from the floor, converting 23-of-30 free throw attempts as they dominated play in the paint outgaining the Mustangs 40-14.
Tori Rockefeller (South Kortright, N.Y.) paced Morrisville's efforts with 13 points, draining four three's while adding two rebounds and two assists to her tallies.
Miranda Wright (Smyrna, N.Y.) added a 10-point effort, shooting 50% from the floor, while Rachel Vieira (Caruthers, Calif.) and Alexis Campbell (Buffalo, N.Y.) each added nine in the scoring efforts.
Kerrin Montgomery led all scorers with 26 for the night, collecting the double-double with a 10-rebound outing.
